One of my patients this morning asked if I had watched the Academy Awards and noticed very few of the actors were tan. I responded, when you are at that level in your career, you should have the knowledge that sun exposure is the main case of premature aging. Unfortunately, there aren’t many roles for older looking people and when needed, age can be accomplished with the make-up artistry witnessed in the Iron Lady.
I noticed there didn’t seem to be as much overfilling resulting in pleasing absence of fish lips and baked potato cheeks. While there had probably been many units of Botox injected, it was used mainly to soften expression, not obliterate it. This coincides with what is the trend in the aesthetic/cosmetic dermatology circles.
Of note, you do not need a $7,000 diamond facial to have beautiful skin that has a great light reflection.

Tanda and Me
After 3 months of personal use, I can see and feel a difference. My skin looks and feels smoother, particularly when I can use my Retin A product following the Tanda treatment. My 66 year old sun damaged Norwegian skin will never be featured in a before and after photo document but I can see it in my bathroom mirror.
Information given on the value of using the LED technology to treat the skin focuses on its ability to stimulate collagen, increase circulation and lymph drainage and increase the effectiveness of other procedures, such as chemical peels, lasers, microdermabrasion, and topicals such as retinoids and antioxidants. The blue LED works to decrease skin bacteria and the red can help reduce the associated inflammation. In a perfect world, if you had inflammatory acne, you would have both the red and the blue treatment heads for your Tanda.
